Alan Wake 2 Preloading Date And File Size Revealed

Alan Wake 2 launches on October 27, but ahead of that, players can preload the anticipated sequel so they can start the second it opens. Developer Remedy Entertainment has now confirmed when preloading will start (on console at least) and how much space the game will take up on your storage device.

Preloading will begin 48 hours before launch on Xbox and PlayStation, which means players can start preloading on October 24 at 9 PM PT / 12 AM ET / 7 AM GMT. You can see a breakdown of preloading start times below.

Remedy doesn’t say anything about preloading on PC. The game will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store at launch, which is not surprising given that Epic funded the development of Alan Wake 2.

In terms of file size, the PC edition (86GB) is the largest, followed by PS5 (85GB), and then Xbox Series X|S (82GB).
