Aquaman 2 Director James Wan Disputes Reshoot Reports Again

James Wan, the director of DC’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, denied rumors about reshoots of the film. Wan admitted that only about three reshoots were needed for the movie.

In a Empire Magazine interview (via different), Wan said there were only “seven or eight days” of reshoots. “Nothing for a movie of this size. It’s just deployed because it’s very difficult to bring your actors back when you finish the initial shoot,” said Wan.

Working on a film of such high caliber taught Wan how to handle unnecessary noise, which included reports of Jason Momona wanting to fire Amber Heard. “I’m a pretty private person,” Wan said. “I don’t go on social media and have fights, but it’s difficult because this narrative emerges that is not the truth. Noise is fun to write about, and it gets clicks. But people don’t know the truth .”

Wan previously addressed the rumors in an interview in September Fun every week.

“We have big actors in this movie, and everyone’s schedule is really difficult. So, we had to break-up our shooting schedule into sections. We will shoot a little here now because this actor is available, then we will shoot more. mi. Now because this guy is there. People are like, ‘Oh, they’re doing a whole bunch of different shoots!’ No. If we actually put them all together, it’s actually not a huge number of days.”

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is set to hit theaters later this year on December 20. Check out our story covering the latest trailer for more news on the film.
