Super Mario Bros. Wonder Makes Gold Coins Useless

each Mario game has gold coins scattered around the Mushroom Kingdom for the fireball-throwing plumber to collect, and finding each ending is a big part of getting a perfect run through a level for some player. But in Amazing Super Mario Brosthey’re not as useful as they used to be, because a different currency is more effective at giving you what gold coins can do.

On top of being a standard collectible throughout Super Mario franchise, gold coins will give you a new life every time you pick up 100 of them. Because of this, and because of the traditional way, Mario The games can be tough at times, players always go out of their way to get as many of them as possible to accumulate lives and not have to worry about a game. However, in Amazing Super Mario Bros, there’s a new set of purple Flower Coins that serve as the currency in the shops you’ll find in the Flower Kingdom. It’s not as many gold coins as Mario has collected over the decades, but if you’re looking for lives, it’s easily a more reasonable choice.

If you go to any of the shops you find on the overworld map, you will find 20 purple Flower Coins that give you five lives, rather than the one you get for collecting 100. gold coins. I wish I had known this earlier, because I wasted some precious time using the new Elephant Mushroom powerup to sprinkle the ground with water and get some extra gold coins from those flower of the earth, if I need to find it. Where are the purple Flower Coins located Amazing Super Mario Bros?

Purple coins appear in two different forms of surprise level. The most famous are the individuals that you often find mixed with gold coins or hidden in blocks that you have to break. But you’ll also find some great ones valued at 10 coins scattered throughout most levels, often hidden behind a puzzle, secret area, or a level-shifting Wonder Flower. There are usually three of these larger coins on a stage, and if you’ve found them before, you can’t go back and get them again. But this is a high-value collectible that makes it worth exploring the levels in their entirety, for completion reasons and because they actually give you something tangible in return.

If I have more lives, what can I get for purple Flower Coins?

Lives are not the only things that traders sell Amazing Super Mario Bros. You can also buy a standee for multiplayer, new badges, and even Wonder Seeds to help you access more levels in each world. So yes, grab the gold coins when you see them, but they are not the most valuable resource by any means at this time.
