Xbox Elite Series 2 Core Controller Only $85 At Walmart

Walmart’s latest Xbox Elite Series 2 Core controller deal is the best we’ve seen. For now, you can get the red Elite Series 2 Core for only $85.17, from $140. This is a steeper discount than we’ve seen on Amazon’s Big Deal Days. Walmart is offering the white Elite Series 2 Core for $88–although the white model has a lower list price of $130. This is the first time we’ve seen a red controller under $100. Walmart also sells the The Robot White standard Xbox Wireless Controller for only $37.36 (down from $60).

The Elite Series 2 Core controller is the budget-priced alternative to the standard Elite Series 2 and was released last fall. It’s worth noting that the Core controller doesn’t include any of the attachments that come with the standard Elite Series 2, but these can be purchased separately if you want to upgrade it to more customization.

Unless you choose to buy the attachments as well, you won’t get back paddles, four extra analog sticks to swap out, a swappable D-pad, or the carrying case. Instead, the Core controller simply features the premium build of the Elite Series 2 controller – nicer sticks, trigger lock, an eight-way metal D-pad, and tactile handle grips.

If you decide you want back paddles and other accessories, you can buy them separately. Best Buy is selling the Complete Component Pack for $60.

Alternatively, you can pick and choose which swappable parts you want and buy them from third-party companies. For example, you can get a nice set of back paddles for $10 We’ve tested these third-party paddles and they feel great and work well. Third-party controller manufacturer Scuf has it too very nice set of Elite Series 2 back paddles for $15 (down from $20).
